Substance abuse is most effective when a whole person approach is used that addresses all areas of wellness. The Homefire Recovery Care services approach provides skills at overcoming substance abuse while teaching life skills and learning to be part of a healthy community.

Gilbert Fredette of Norway House Cree Nation has served in both political and administrative leadership. From 2014-2018 he was an elected councillor and Vice-Chief. Since 2018 he serves as the Associate CEO of Norway House, is Vice-President of Norway House's CFS services and sits on the Board of Directors at Whiskeyjack Treatment Centre.

Tyler Craig, Cree/Métis from Treaty 8 in Alberta resides on the west coast. He has extensive policy development, grant preparation and project management experience with urban Indigenous organizations and First Nations communities across Western Canada.

Homefire Recovery Care based near Vancouver BC provides support through a recovery community approach. Individuals gain skills in addressing substance use disorder, life skills, outdoor skills and being part of a healthy community.
